Holzhausen Project – Part 1

A Holthausen is a popular way of curing wood in Germany, Europe and Scandinavia. It gets wind and sun from all angles and with the shingled roof it sheds most of the rain, a bit like my old house in Balmoral. It's a super efficient way of curing wood and a whole lot of fun to build.

With a 3m diameter there is about 16m³ of wood in this beauty.
